MLK Weekend: Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Activities

Please join us, Sunday, January 14, 2024 beginning promptly at 2:00 p.m., for our annual dinner to celebrate the life, legacy and work of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The Commission is focusing on the increasing threat of anti-Semitism, the effects of othering and the importance of belonging for our Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) and LGBTQ+ communities. Dr. King’s words, “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” is a message that we can reflect on for healing to halt further division.

The theme for 2024 is “Still I Rise.”

“We must walk on in the day ahead with an audacious faith in the future.” – The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
