Get ready for NEPA Gives!

Earlier this week, we hosted a NEPA GivesRollout/Information Session at the Hilton Scranton & Conference Center where we answered questions and provided additional information about NEPA Gives. Thanks to all who attended this meeting.

Here is a recap of what we shared during the NEPA Gives Rollout/Information Session:

Important Dates

February 18, 2020: Nonprofits can begin opting-in to participate in NEPA Gives on June 5th by submitting the registration fee (Registration info is below!)

March 31, 2020: The NEPA Gives fundraising platform website will go live

March 31, 2020: Participating nonprofits who are registered for NEPA Gives can begin setting up their NEPA Gives page via the platform and start promoting!

Early April 2020*: We will host a NEPA Gives Training Webinar with GiveGab (our NEPA Gives platform partner) for nonprofits to dive in and learn about all the tools available for a successful giving day

May 22, 2020: Last Day for nonprofits to register to participate in NEPA Gives

June 5, 2020: NEPA Gives Giving Day Event

How can my nonprofit organization participate in NEPA Gives?

Sign up to participate and submit a $20 registration fee. Sign up via the button below or by visiting: http://bit.ly/2SBdNQe
Nonprofits will be able to begin building their NEPA Gives fundraising page beginning on March 31, 2020. Registration will be accepted until May 22, 2020.

Please note: The $20 registration fee for nonprofits will go directly to support the efforts to make NEPA Gives possible.

What is NEPA Gives?

On Friday, June 5, 2020, we’re aiming to make giving history in Northeastern Pennsylvania!

The Scranton Area Community Foundation has teamed up with our friends at The Luzerne Foundation, Greater Pike Community Foundation, Wayne County Community Foundation, the Northeastern Pennsylvania Nonprofit & Community Assistance Center (NCAC), and other community sponsors to host NEPA Gives—a one-day giving extravaganza that’s all about giving back to your community.

For 24 hours—from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59:59 p.m.—on Friday, June 5, 2020, donors may make secure donations to their favorite local nonprofit organizations through the NEPA Gives online platform. Donations to participating nonprofits will be enhanced with bonus funds provided by NEPA Gives sponsors—making donor dollars stretch further! Nonprofits will also be eligible for cash prizes.

Registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations serving residents in Northeastern Pennsylvania will be eligible to participate in NEPA Gives.
And, anyone can donate!

NEPA Gives aims to:

Raise the level of knowledge about community benefit organizations in our region and highlight their positive impact on our well-being.
Support the operating needs of nonprofit organizations serving Northeastern Pennsylvania by helping them raise needed funds.
Grow the base of engaged donors in NEPA – bringing new donors to our community nonprofits.
Spotlight the charitable trends in our community. Where are we giving? What are our nonprofit organizations saying is vital and needed right now?

We are excited to partner with our friends at our neighboring community foundations across the region to bring to you NEPA Gives and work together to make giving history in Northeastern Pennsylvania on Friday, June 5, 2020!
