We would like to thank all who came out to join us for our 65th Anniversary Community Celebration last week as we celebrated 65 years of giving!

We kicked off the evening of Wednesday, November 20, 2020 with hors d’oeuvres and cocktails along with live music provided by the Doug Smith Orchestra featuring vocalist Erin Malloy.

During our program, we recognize two outstanding community partners – Ryan Wilson, CPA, CFP, and The Institute for Public Policy and Economic Development – chosen because of their commitment to our community by the ways they promote philanthropy or because they server as an effective ambassador to the mission of the Scranton Area Community Foundation. We are grateful to have these distinguished partners in our community.

In addition to recognizing our community partners, we were proud to feature three funds at the Scranton Area Community Foundation – the George A. Pann Memorial Fund, the Minooka Subaru Fund, and the Cody Jude Barrasse Memorial Fund – all established for different purposes which are important to the donors. Two of our featured funds, the Cody Jude Barrasse Memorial Fund and the George A. Pann Fund, were established to honor the memories of a cherished loved one, and to continue their loved one’s legacy while making a lasting impact in our community. The Minooka Subaru Fund was established by a generous local business that is committed to giving back to our region where it can help many charitable causes and programs.

We are grateful to these generous donors for choosing the Scranton Area Community Foundation to help them carry out their charitable goals.
